Really Big Announcement Number 1! My First Giveaway and a Great Cause! Mood:
I told you that the next couple of days were going to be exciting, and I hope that you aren't disappointed.
You all know, from reading my homeschool product reviews, that Sarah and I are committed to healthy living. Like many people, we often fail, and need help and prodding from others. You also know that we are very dedicated to helping the less fortunate in our society and the world.
That's why I was so thrilled to hear about the Pound for Pound challenge. The Pound for Pound challenge is a unique program that fights hunger while helping you lose weight! How do they do it? First, you join the challenge by pledging to lose weight through exercise and healthy eating habits. For every pound that you lose, the Pound for Pound challenge will donate 14 cents - enough to buy one pound of food - to donate to Feeding America, the nation's leading charitable hunger-relief organization. Along the way, the folks from The Biggest Loser will give you weight loss tips, exercises, recipes...in fact, they will set up a whole weight loss plan for you to help you meet your goal! Such a deal! While you lose weight, others will benefit.
So, how can you take part in this great opportunity? Just click here or on any one of the hi-lighted links above to get to the Pound for Pound challenge website. To find out more about Feeding America just click here. Don't wait too long to decide, the Pound for Pound challenge ends June 30th. so enter today!
But that's not all! In order to help promote the Pound for Pound challenge, General Mills and Kroger, two of the other challenge sponsors, have promised two $30 Kroger gift cards. One for us to use and one to give away on my blog! You all know what great prices that Kroger has and what great products General Mills has. Now you can take advantage of both to help you lose weight and get into shape! Here's a list at all of the great places listed that you can use your gift card at:

And my weight loss plan is..whatever works, lol. I'm going to eat healthier...sadly waving farewell to Sonic tater tots for a season.
My Mom & I are going to check out something called T-Tap? And since I'm ex-military I'll do some pushups/situps as well. Except I'm aware that situps only works part of the muscles so I'll be throwing in other crunches as well.
Well, we just switched from a traditional western diet to a kosher one and we are hoping that helps us lose weight (well, mom and dad) and we are researching exercise regimes and scraping up the cash to order the one we are leaning towards.
This sounds like a great thing! I really need to lose weight, get in better shape, have been trying to figure out how to go about it! Hubby needs to lose weight and feel better, too. If I can actually figure out how this pound for pound challenge works, I think I'd really like to participate, if it isn't too late..... ;) (My oldest is into bicycling....I'd like to get into it, too, myself....but I can NOT ride a bicycle at this point!!)
Good luck to everyone to win. I already started losing weight but I am using Herbalife thanks to a Califorina friend of mine. So Tim my TOS picture may change sometime in the near future. LOL Breaking one of your forum rules. :)
