The Awesome Day Camp Review - Plus a Few Other Tidbits!
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: Ministry

I missed it! Yes, I missed my third day in eight months. I just couldn't do it. I was so tired.

Yesterday we got up and went to Sarah's brother's house to see if he could fix my laptop. If you recall, dear son #2 dropped it. Well, it looks as if it can't be fixed, but he is going to recover everything from my hard drive, put in a newly reformatted hard drive and put all of my stuff from the old hard drive on it. Hope it all works out, because right now I'm bouncing between John Allen's and Sarah's laptops and it is a pain. I want my own laptop back!

Well, after that, we got home and grandma babysat while Sarah and I went out to eat at Outback Steak House using a gift certificate that a dear friend had given us. It was delicious and the time out ALONE with my wonderful wife was very needed.

After I got home, however, I was beat. I just couldn't bring myself to writing a blog post. I know that many folks who post something everyday often pre-write many of their posts. Then they just post them on the day that they want. I have never been like that. Although, the new plan for the TOS Homeschool Crew is to post all of the reviews on one day. So, I am going to try to pre-write my reviews and schedule them to post on the day they are due. Tomorrow the first review is scheduled. I have written it and programmed it to be posted tomorrow. We'll see what happens! Check in tomorrow to find out.

Okay, without further ado. Here is the really neat review of our third day camp week. I think it's really cool. It combines two of my favorite computer programs ~ www.dumpr.net - where you can take a regular picture and do amazing things with it ~ and, www.slide.com - where you can take those amazing pictures and put them in a slide show. Both sites are great, and I think you'll like this tribute to the faces of Day Camp 3.

I tried, but I just couldn't do it. I know that's a lame excuse, but I just couldn't stay awake to post my day camp weekly update. So, I'm going to do it in a special, amazing, way tomorrow. Stay Tuned!

Excusus! Excuses! Excusus!
Mood:  chillin'
Topic: Ministry

Okay! This may be a lame excuse, but some of you may be wondering why I am putting these short little cutsie and quick posts up this week. Why not something with a little more meat in it? Well, the main reason is that we have been doing a day camp during the day and this by night...

No, I am not a master puppeteer, although I have been known to be on a puppet team here and there, but we have been taking the mission kids to a VBS every evening. So, yes, the parents have been thanking us. Day camp by day, and VBS by night...sleep well little ones Laughing

Let's Take a Trip to Gutenburg!
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: FamiliesAgain Freebies

Actually I'm not talking about Gutenberg, Germany, nor even about the famous Gutenberg Bible. I'm talking about Project Gutenberg. Project Gutenberg was started in 1971 and now encourages the free distibution of good reading material through ebooks. You wouldn't believe how many famous works of literature that you can actually get for free. Project Gutenberg has thousands and thousands of titles that you can download free of charge. Just click on the banner above to see all of the great titles that you can get! I just downloaded a G. A. Henty book that would cost me around $20 to buy from a book distributer that sells his works. Of course it's not going to have the pretty binding, and you will have to either print it out and put it in a notebook, or read it off of your computer. But, if you aren't bothered by that then this is the place for you! I love it and plan on using it for a lot of homeschooling this year. For all of you homeschoolers out there, it's amazing how many resources that you can find on the internet that are free of charge. I wonder how much I will actually spend this year for homeschool? Hmmm?!? I'll have to let you know!

Do You Want to Get Some Free Money?
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: General

Swagbucks is a great way to get free money. I've already earned enough Swagbucks to buy $20 in Amazon gift cards. And most of the bucks I've gotten just by searching the internet using their searchbar. But that's not the only way to get bucks and Amazon gift cards aren't the only things that you can buy with your bucks. Click on the button below to find out what all the rage is about. I know you'll love it once you get started!
