Finally Some Day Camp Pictures are Up!
Mood:  happy
Topic: Ministry
Finally some pictures of Day Camp 2 ~ held last week. The slide show begins with some Bible Teaching and general pictures, followed by some of our game time and, of course, water day pictures! The best pictures this week are of our baby food eating contest. Two teams lined up and they had to run down to a chair with bags on it, pick a bag, open it, and eat three bites of whatever baby food was in the bag. Of course we picked yummy vegetables and meat foods. As you can see by the looks on the kid's faces they will never complain about Mom's cooking again!

Thanks, everyone, for all of the prayers and support. In the environment that we are working in, there is a lot of distraction and constant drama. Your prayers are deeply felt, needed and appreciated. Please don't stop! We have another week of day camp next week. I'll be blogging about that one as well, so keep tuning in!

I know! I know! My blog looks slightly different! It's Clean!
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: General

The Bears cleaned their room. And in the process, my sidebar got cleaned up. In fact, it's empty. That's really a very good thing! I finally found out how to fix my problems. In doing so, however, I had to erase everything on my sidebar. Don't worry (as if you really were worrying Laughing), I'm going to redo it better than ever and put things in the right place. Look for some fun changes in the near future! Thanks for putting up with the mess!

I'm So Excited! And with my blog in the mess that it's in, I need some excitement!
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: General

I am super excited! I have made the blog lists on two different very influential blogs!

The first is a blogroll from a great homeschool website called "Heart of the Matter" -

Join Blogroll

Heart of the matter is a great site with lots of tips that don't always have to do with homeschooling. So, please visit the site and some of the other blogs on the Blogroll!

The other great list that I made has to do with something that's near and dear to my heart ~ Compassion International. I made their Compassion Bloggers list. Please click on the following banner to get to the list and visit some of the other great blogs that promote "Relieving Children in Poverty in Jesus name."

Hopefully, soon, this mess on my blog will be cleaned up. Until then, thanks for putting up with my "dust".

Men's Monday Meme - Has American History Been Revised?
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: Men's Monday Meme

I thought that this would be an excellent topic for Independence Day. I'm sure that you all know by now that I am a big proponent of not revising our history. I hate it when I hear of schools that don't teach the accurate story of our first Thanksgiving, or who leave God out of the celebration.

I cringe when I read the stories of how monuments have been put up apologizing to the Native Americans for bringing in diseases, taking over their land, and mistreating them violently.

I abhor talk about how our founding fathers didn't really know what they were talking about. If we still followed their view of things, we would still have slaves etc.

I want my children to hear how God guided our forefathers and how God was the reason why they did so many of the things that they did. I'm tired of people telling me that we have learned so much more now, and the way we have depicted these historical events for 200+ years really isn't correct. We are so much smarter than the great men that formed our country.

I could go on and on, but you don't want to hear me rant and rave. So, I'll just ask my question(s) and move on.

What do you think? Do you think that the way history is taught to our children today is the way it should be? Has it been dumbed down and incorrectly revised? Or, is this revising really good for our country?

Let me know! Here are the rules:

  1. This is a man's meme, so the answers must be the answers from a man. Either the man can answer on his blog, or a wife can interview her husband for her blog. However, if the wife puts it on her blog, she must stay true to what her husband said.
  2. You are encouraged to put one of the Men's Monday Meme buttons found to the left on your blog. Just copy the code below the button of your choice. The more folks who link, the more readers you may have to visit your blog.
  3. You may answer the question any time during the week up through next Monday. After you answer the question, add the address to your post to the Mr.Linky below. If you could, please only add the direct link to the post to make it easier for readers to find the entry.
  4. My answer along with a new question will be posted next Monday. The new Mr. Linky will be added at midnight Monday night or sometime within the next couple of days after that Wink.
And here's the new Mr. Linky!
